Welcome to the on-line Grooming Academy! It is my honour to introduce you to what it is all about. Of course, it is about finding the best way that would lead you to perfection in grooming. From learning about the dog’s psychology and what the best products to use are to how to apply the best procedures and techniques in practice, you would get the enviable knowledge to either start off grooming independently or simply upgrade your current skills enriching them with both theoretical and practical knowledge.
My grooming school is also something that I am very passionate about. I am ready to share my experiences, explaining my own philosophy to you- upon your enrolment you would get a grip on what I actually mean by that- you first ought to know the dog’s background before you even consider taking scissors in your hands. Grooming is not only about brushing and trimming the coat in a precise and stylish way. It is much more than that. This is why I am inviting you to enroll into Academy from its very start, going through 6 separate monthly courses, each of them dealing with different aspect of grooming but generally they are all inter-related:
• Psychology and Development
• Basic notions of veterinary medicine (anatomy basics, dog care, first aid)
• Basics of cynology (standards and dog breeds)
• Grooming Basic (types of coat, cosmetics, tools and their use)
• Styling
• Grooming Business Management
So, what happens next? After you successfully finish the theoretical part (either all 6 courses or the one(s) you choose) you are moving on to the next level- 600 hours of practice into which you implement all the knowledge you have gained through the courses. When you eventually accomplish all the tasks set in front of you, you become a GroomWay Academy graduate, holding a prestigious certificate in your hands! And, you can call yourself a professional then, because you really are one!
